Annual Fund 2009-2010

Families, friends and the community support Montlake Elementary through contributions to the Annual Fund. Approximately 50% of the PTA's annual budget comes from Annual Fund contributions. These funds are used primarily to hire additional teachers which allows the reading and math class size to be reduced. Other programs supported by the Annual Fund include the arts program, additional books for the school library, full use of the computer lab, additional office staff, the greenhouse program, funds for each teacher for class room supplies, extra playground and gym equipment and field trips. All of these programs contribute to the success of Montlake Elementary and your support is appreciated.

Annual Fund Update:
(posted March 8, 2010)

After the first of the year, we received donations from 22 more families, bringing our total up to 80.  We also increased the percentage of families who donated from 27% to 37%, an increase over last year.  For each of our 80 families and all of our 170 donors who helped raise more than $67,000 for this year's Annual Fund, thank you, thank you, thank you!
