Schools First Rally: Feb. 6, noon-1pm a Greenlake Boat House

Dear Montlake families,

Seattle schools need your help!  It is critical that the levy pass.  Please consider representing Montlake at
the rally tomorrow.  It sounds like fun!  Walking around Greenlake on a Saturday with your family.  What could be better?  Please read below and open the attachment for information.

Thanks,  Lara
-------------------------------------------------
Please help us GET-OUT-THE-VOTE for just one hour this Saturday.

  • When: Saturday, Feb. 6th 12-1pm
  • Where:  The Greenlake Boat House:  5900 West Green Lake Way N
  • The STUDENT-LED RALLY will be followed by a walk around the lake in support of the levies!

Bad news:  Only 23% of ballots are in for our school funding renewal levies.  Without voter support for our levy renewals, Seattle’s 46,000 students - your kids and mine - will no longer have access to a basic education.

Good news:  ONE HOUR of your time tomorrow, Saturday from noon to 1pm, will make our GET-OUT-THE-VOTE FOR OUR SCHOOLS RALLY a media success, hence reminding voters city-wide to get their ballots postmarked by Tuesday.

Can we count on a delegation of students/parents/teachers from your school to support funding for all Seattle’s public schools?

We’re making signs for each school delegation.  Whether a team big or small, please send a representative(s) to stand for your school at Greenlake from noon to 1pm tomorrow.

Thank you for engaging your school communities and your considerable effort toward successful levy renewals for our schools.  Please stick
with it just a few more days… Tuesday is almost here!

Annual Fund needs your help!

Pick the Beatles song of your choice :

Help! I need somebody,
Help! Not just anybody,

OR

You don't realize how much I need you,

OR

The best things in life are free
But you can tell me 'bout the birds and bees.
Now gimme money THAT'S WHAT I WANT

And sign along as you write a check to the Annual Fund.  We are in the final week of our Annual Fund effort, and many of you have helped us raise just over $56,000.  That is short of our goal, and short of the amount the PTSA has in its budget to pay for this year's programs that make Montlake such a terrific community for our children and their families.

Please consider making a contribution to the Annual Fund, and thank you if you have already contributed.

Thank you!

The PTA budget this year is based in part on contributions to the Annual Fund.
