Upcoming Events:
This Friday, Feb. l2th, we will have our quarterly "Go for the Gold" reward event.  We are lucky enough to attend the opening day of the movie 'The Lightning Thief'.  The remaining 'Go for the Gold' events will occur on Thursday, April 29th and Friday, June l8th.

General Schedule:
I work each morning 9:l0-ll:40 supporting the general education program.  I run a morning small reading group with 1st graders.  I also support a 4th grade language arts group in Ms. Lee's room. We practiced a few short weeks, and the students put together an amazing Shakespeare production!  The remainder of the day, ll:40-3:20, I work with small groups of students from lst to 5th grade, working on reading, writing, math, and social skills.  We work on basic skills, as well as extra support for assignments/projects/homework.
We are coming to the end of our 'Touch Math Posse' group, which has been meeting three days a week since December.  They have been learning how to use Touch Points to help the students quickly do math computation, and help them learn all their multiplication facts.  Everyone is close to having mastered all their facts, and they are 'graduating' out of the group once they accomplish this task.
Introduction
Hi, my name is Cathy Patnoe and I have been a teacher for five years at Montlake.  Before Montlake, I taught at Washington  Middle School as a special education resource room teacher for about eight years.  I have been married for l7 years, and have two children, one at Montlake and one at Washington Middle School.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy snow skiing, traveling, playing soccer, eating out, boating on Lake Washington, running around Seward Park, and spending times with friends.  I have a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) named Bailey, and a tabby cat named Uja.

Contacting me:
I have moved out to the portables this year, and am now in portable 3, which I share with Merrilyn Carpenter.  I work Monday - Thursday, with Fridays off.
