New Year's Resolution: Be Green!
It is 2010
and I'm sure we have all decided to work toward being more "GREEN" as
a New Year Resolution. Purchasing
a ReUsie for your child's lunch bag not only helps to eliminate plastic in our
environment but also supports our Montlake Greenhouse.
Such a
deal.........and all for less than $10.00 !!
All you need to do is...
- Download order form here.
- Make check out to Montlake PTA.
- Drop off in the
Montlake office: Greenhouse folder.
- ReUsies will be dropped off in classrooms.
It is estimated that
500
billion – one trillion plastic bags are used worldwide each and every year. In
a typical school or work lunch, 3 or 4 plastic baggies are used every day.
That equals upwards to 1,000 plastic baggies per person, per year! That
is a lot of plastic bags that will be here long after we are gone! An
alternative to plastic bags are Re-Usies. A fabric reusable bag
that can be used and washed and reused again!
