Requests for your student’s records - posted November 4, 2009
We are entering the annual season in which some students will be applying for admission to independent schools. Montlake teachers and staff will happily complete recommendation forms and send required records as requested.
May we ask the following of families making requests from teachers and staff?
- Please get requests and necessary forms and envelopes to us as early as possible. The volume of requests can be large each year.
- For teacher recommendations, please provide the forms required by the schools, even if they are common forms shared by multiple schools.
- For teacher recommendations, please include addressed envelopes for us to use to return completed recommendations.
- It is a tradition that we suggest a one-time $25 donation to the PTA's Camp Scholarship funds from each family requesting records and recommendations. While this donation is not required, support for the Team 3 camp experience has been a nice way to recognize the additional duties performed by teachers and staff for independent school applications.
